Yes, in the phone's browser. Employees can check attendance, apply for leave and view salary slips, and employees you allow can punch in from their phone with GPS location. There is no separate app to install.

Yes. Components can be a fixed amount, a percentage of base salary or a multiplier, applied monthly, daily, yearly, on Sundays only, on working days only, or by a rule. Each is marked as an earning or deduction.

Branches and teams can be organised as departments and sub-departments, with reports filtered by each. If you run payroll for separate legal entities, tell us during the demo so we can advise on the right setup.

It includes an inventory module for items, stock movements, transfers and low-stock reports, which some organisations use alongside HR and payroll.

Yes. The monthly statutory report shows EPF, EPS and EDLI wages and contributions and ESIC for eligible employees. You can download an EPFO ECR v2.0 file and an ESIC contribution sheet. See PF management and ESI management.

No. Swastik Payroll prepares the figures and files; uploading, generating challans and paying happen on the EPFO and ESIC portals with your own login. TDS returns are filed by you or your CA.

TDS is recorded as a deduction on monthly salary and appears on the payslip and payroll report. Swastik Payroll does not compute income tax or generate the annual TDS certificate. Our free salary TDS calculator helps you estimate the amount.

Professional tax can be set up as a fixed deduction component. Gratuity is not calculated inside the product; use the free gratuity calculator.

Each employee's payment method, bank and account details are stored on their profile. The monthly payment report lists amounts by bank or cash and exports to CSV for your bank process. It is not a bank-specific upload file.

Salary reconciliation compares what was paid with what was payable. A shortfall is added as arrears to the next month, and payment status can be marked paid, partially paid or held.

Swastik Payroll syncs every minute from biometric attendance systems that store punches in a database, using the first punch as in-time and the last as out-time. We confirm compatibility with your device during the demo.

Yes, if you enable it for them. The punch records GPS location and waits in a verification queue; it counts only after HR approves it.

Employees apply for casual, sick, earned, unpaid, maternity or paternity leave, including half days, and staff approve or reject. Casual leave accrues on the 1st of every month and carries forward. See leave management.

Access is role-based. Super admins see everything; each staff user gets specific view, manage or approve rights for salary, attendance, inventory and reports; employees see only their own records.

The site runs over HTTPS, accounts lock for 30 minutes after five failed sign-in attempts, changes are recorded in an audit log, and approved salary months are locked against editing.

Reports export to Excel or CSV, and a super admin can download a full compressed database backup at any time.

Employees can be imported in bulk from a CSV or Excel file using the sample format provided. Salary structures and rules are configured with our team during implementation.
